Welcome to Colleyville Mahjong
Mahjong is a tile-based game that was developed in 19th century China. In 1937, the National Mahjong League was formed by Jewish American women, in an attempt to standardize the rules of the game. The game has evolved to represent
peace & friendship
Inviting someone to play Mahjong is almost synonymous with friendship because when you know mahjong, you are never really alone. We are passionate about the game, but, most importantly, we are passionate about building a community around American Mahjong. At Colleyville Mahjong, our mascot is the "One Bird Bam" tile, which is shown below. Each time the one bird bam is discarded - we toast! Many friendships have been formed over the rhythmic clink of the beautiful tiles. We invite you to join us.

About The Instructor
My name is Aleisha Gravit and I have a Mahjong problem. In all seriousness, I love the game!

I retired in March of 2023 from a wonderful, long career as a Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. Upon retirement, I suddenly found myself with a bit "too much" free time, so I set out on my journey to find some hobbies.
Not only did I find hobbies, I found a community. That's the key word here! I learned to play Mahjong and immediately knew it was my jam. I became an Oh My Mahjong! certified instructor and the rest is history.
I would love to teach you what I call the "game of the brain" and invite you to join the community we are building around this beautiful game of tiles.
